Grand Etteilla Egyptian Gypsies Tarot, 1969

This deck of the "Grand Etteilla Egyptian Gypsies Tarot" was published by B.P. Grimaud in France in 1969. It includes 78 cards, as well as a 117-page booklet in English.

The original box is in very good condition with a little wear on the edges and corners. The cards themselves are made from a good cardstock and are in most excellent condition. This is considered a larger than average deck in that each card measures 2.5 x 4.75 inches. The deck itself is approx 2.875 inches in height.

My recommendation is for the eclectic collector or the reader in search of a challenge. The cards are numbered and titled in French and English, and the detailed booklet is in English. This Egyptian Etteilla is very different than the standard European Tarot to which most readers and collectors have grown accustomed. There are cards such as: Widowhood, Soldier, Spy, Loneliness, Expectation and Journey. The last card is 0 - the Fool.

Each card portrays a scene, as well as description, numbers and zodiac symbols.
